In regard to the popularization of roadrunners as a cartoon character, the famous Road Runner (and Wile E. Coyote) featured in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoon series was actually the creation of Warner Brothers studio in the 1940s. It was they who popularized them and not Walt Disney, as your article stated.
