Recently I’m finding that the letters to the editor are more informative than the news articles. Everyday folks seem to have some pretty good ideas based on real information, not emotion.
After reading Andy Moore’s letter about the Border Adjustment Tax (BAT), I did a little research to find out more it and found some long explanation about how it will even out because of the fluctuating dollar, the value of the dollar increasing, etc. It was very difficult to understand. What is easy to understand is that if the government adds a 20% tariff to imported products, retailers will have to raise their prices by 20%.
Mr. Moore wrote that the BAT is BAD and I agree with him.
