Invite your family, friends and neighbors for a delightful performance of your favorite classical holiday music, Saturday, December 3 at 7 p.m.
North Valley Symphony Orchestra will make this a holiday to remember, performing little-known Santa Claus: Christmas Symphony by William Henry Fry, The Holly and the Ivy by Malcolm Arnold, Men of Goodwill by Benjamin Britten, and the ever-popular Nutcracker Suite #1 by Tchaikovsky. There will be an appearance by Santa Claus with free photo opportunities before the concert and during intermission.
The talented NVSO Youth Orchestra will open the concert with Glazounov’s Russian Christmas Festival: Carolers. This concert is supported in part by the Arizona Commission on the Arts which receives support from the State of Arizona and the National Endowment for the Arts.
North Valley Symphony Orchestra proudly provides affordable concert experiences to the Phoenix north valley community. NVSO’s “A Santa Claus Symphony” concert is the perfect way to inspire children and young adults in the appreciation of orchestral music, while starting a family tradition of regularly supporting the arts in your community. Tickets are only $5, and can be purchased on-line at www.northvalleysymphony.org. The concert begins at 7 p.m. at North Canyon High School Performing Arts Center, 1700 E. Union Hills Drive.
NVSO Youth Orchestra and NVSO Symphonettes (NVSO’s training orchestra) will also perform in a free holiday concert on Saturday, December 10. That concert will begin at 3:30 p.m. at Cactus Shadows High School, 5802 E. Dove Valley Rd., Cave Creek.
