PHOENIX — Honor veterans and help raise funds to assist them with medical transportation at Ride N’ Raise on Nov. 10.

The 1st Annual “Ride N’ Raise: MORE Veteran Mobility – Service for your Service” fundraiser will be held on Thursday, November 10, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Harley-Davidson of Scottsdale, 15656 N. Hayden Road.

The event will feature live music and dinner for $25 per ticket, with 100% of proceeds donated to the Veterans Transportation Assistance Program (V-TAP).

Guest of Honor at the event will be Col. Anthony Johnson, MD, Chairman, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at San Antonio Military Medical Center.

V-TAP helps military veterans get to medical appointments with free transportation, including those who require special assistance (e.g., when a wheelchair or stretcher is needed). The program aims to provide about 1200 rides to veterans and family members in 2016.

Military veterans may receive help with transportation to any physician or physical therapy office in the Phoenix metropolitan area through V-TAP. Veterans needing transportation to medical care should call QTS directly at (602) 371-1000 and ask about V-TAP.

V-TAP was launched in July 2015 by the MORE Foundation, a non-profit organization, and Quality Transportation Services (QTS).
