Members of the Cowboy Fast Draw Association, known as the Arizona Gunslingers, who share a common interest in preserving the history of the Old West and competitive shooting, will demonstrate their ultimate shooting skills during the Guns a Blazin’ event at The Horny Toad in historic Cave Creek, Ariz. The event will take place on Friday, October 28 – Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
On Friday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28 the gunslingers will host a town alley for the general public. During this day-long portion of the event, visitors can try their hand at fast draw under the guidance of professionals. The cost to participate is $5 for 10 rounds. On Saturday, the fast draw experts will shoot it out in hopes of winning a special jackpot.
One of the organization’s primary goals is to educate people about the safe and proper use of firearms. Sport safety is obvious wherever the shooters perform because the organization uses wax bullets and custom backstop to protect the public.
“We consider ourselves ambassadors, to the public, when it comes to cowboy way and gun safety to the public,” says Mike Holzer, trail boss.
