INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL AT THE HOLLAND COMMUNITY CENTER
Friday, October 14 – Nine Queens, (Argentina, R: 110 min), Marcos and Juan are two low-level con artists who come across the opportunity to sell a forged set of very rare stamps known as the Nine Queens. As the two swindlers work on their latest con, they come into contact with a rogue’s gallery of thieves, swindlers, conmen, and pickpockets to the point where no one knows who is conning who. Gary Zaro, Director of “The Film Festival at PVCC” main campus, introduces the Festival’s international Mystery and Suspense Thrillers film to the Holland Community Center and conducts a post-film discussion. Time: 2 – 4:30 p.m. Free Admission. Place: FCF-HCC Quail Room.

Friday, October 21, Wine Tasting. Filmmaker Sam Pillsbury runs the show at this Willcox-based vineyard, which produces 14 (mostly Rhone) blends of award-winning wine. The Roan Red is a crowd favorite, a delicious combo of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre grapes. Sam Pillsbury of Pillsbury Wine Company will present easy ways to enjoy wine more, and develop a better understanding and appreciation of what you drink with some simple tools. He will also introduce everyone to some simple understandings on where wine come from, why, how to handle it, and how to drink and enjoy it in ways more easy to understand than you can imagine. He will also pour tastings of the -14 Chardonnay Reserve, ’15 Rose, ’14 Roan Red, and ’13 Diva. $30 per person. Register at azfcf.org. Place: FCF-HCC Quail Room. Time: 3 – 5 p.m.
