SCOTTSDALE – The Gallery at el Pedregal and Fearlessly Deliver, LLC, will co-host a special evening for entrepreneurs, C-suite executives, sales managers and others who are serious about exploring creative ways to succeed at life and business.
“The Art of Fearlessly Doing Business” takes place on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the gallery, located on the second floor of el Pedregal, 34505 N. Scottsdale Rd., in Scottsdale. Guests will learn tips from visual journalist and business executor Michelle Micalizzi and hear about trends from interior designer Emily Brown of Brown Bird Designs, LLC. Appetizers will be served, and guests will have a chance to view the diverse selection of art at the gallery. Admission is free, but reservations are requested by October 26 by emailing [email protected] or calling 480-526-2609.
“Each one of us has a relentless, fearless entrepreneurial spirit in us – but it takes some creative discovery to find that,” said Micalizzi, artist and owner of Fearlessly Deliver, LLC. “Emily and I will share our experiences, and by the end of the night, guests will understand the powerful connection between business and art.”
The evening will also feature a selection of paintings and drawings from Micalizzi’s “The Art of Fearlessly Doing Business” project. The unprecedented fine art project highlighted 26 unique and fearless business leaders from the Valley, and captured the spirit, motivation and lessons learned of each subject. A list of participating entrepreneurs can be viewed at fearlesslydeliver.com/fearlessart.
“My multi-media illustrations are short hand for a biographical snap shot of my subject’s real life. My work can use a combination of acrylic, oil stick and pastels, collage and assemblage, found objects, water color, guache, graphite, colored pencil, traditional and paint markers or photography,” Micalizzi, a Sonoran Arts League member, said. “Each illustration is a mini-emotional documentary laced with facts that are arrived at from active listening and deep interest in my subjects.”
The Gallery at el Pedregal is a unique collaboration between the non-profit Sonoran Arts League and The Boulders Resort, which provides the large space in support of art education and awareness. The art exhibited changes every four months and all work is juried.
In addition to the featured work that is on exhibit and for sale, the gallery hosts “Pop-Up Wednesday” events each week from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., where patrons can view artist demonstrations and enjoy light appetizers. The gallery also includes a youth art exhibit, a veteran exhibit, and a gift shop. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition, private showings can be scheduled and groups can schedule special events there.
