Adults who have lost a loved one are invited to a free, eight-week Grief Support Class beginning Tuesday, Oct. 18, at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church, 6300 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale. The class is open to the public.
Participants may choose from morning classes (10-11:30 a.m.) or evening classes (6-7:30 p.m.). Facilitators are Barbara Olson and Linda Solheim.
The class will offer opportunities to express grief in a confidential environment, honor loved ones and develop a support system.
Topics will include grief response, what affects grief, other associated losses, tools for coping and regaining equilibrium.
