Below is a URL for a video of the Imperial Beach City Council approving a proclamation declaring Imperial Beach to be a “Welcoming City” for “refugees” and “immigrants.” The proclamation was supported by various far left organizations with no opposition, because few knew about it. The City Council approval was unanimous by all present. Of course many of these refugees are going to be sympathizers of terrorist groups. Also, Obama has been allowing illegal aliens, who say the “magic words” to claim asylum status and be released into the US, while they await a court date, which most never intend to honor.
Two weeks later after the approval several great veterans and patriots showed up to denounce the proclamation, one of the vets eighty years old. Their statements start at about 16:19 in the video. The leftist mayor insisted that all of the patriots give their addresses, although he did not require the same for the supporters of the proclamation. It seemed to be a blatant attempt at intimidation, implying that some of his terrorist pals might show up at their doors.

The “Sanctuary City” brand has become tarnished lately. A “Welcoming City” status appears to be just a new formulation of the concept of a Sanctuary City and such laws are being hardened to be able to survive, in case Trump wins the election. The subversives and the Marxists are trying to entrench as much as possible, while the friendly Obama administration is still in power. A Welcoming City can be the same legally as a Sanctuary City, but the content of the law may vary from town to town. Some of these proclamations may appear relatively harmless, but it still has the effect of telling city employees, businesses and organizations they should go easy on refugees and immigrants and the city is not exactly in favor of law enforcement. This is called a “de facto” Sanctuary City and allows the city officials to have deniability, while acting like a Sanctuary City in many respects.

You can see that are already many more are welcoming cities. The green leafs are “welcoming” non-profits and the red stars are Welcoming Cities. (The red star is a very appropriate symbol here.) This map just identifies towns and organizations, who are willing to accept refugees and immigrants of dubious status and who will likely be most willing to ignore the law.
The groups that promote these Marxist/subversive programs are often funded by nonprofits, fat-cat contributors, leftist foundations and even by government agencies at various levels. Our tax money is funding it in many cases. Who funds the patriots, who try to stop these things, you may ask? Nobody!
