The Scottsdale Bar Association announces their October 11 CLE topic “Workplace Violence,” presented by a panel of Bobbie Fox, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Vice President of CopperPoint Mutual, the largest worker comp carrier in Arizona, Denise Blommel, a longtime Scottsdale-based labor and employment attorney and a Director of the Association, and Owen Pulliam, a security consultant in Arizona.
Some two million U.S. employees are victimized by workplace violence every year. Twenty-four Arizona employees died in 2010 due to workplace violence.
What are an employer’s duties to its employees? What safety and prevention measures can be implemented – right now?
