State Sen. Nancy Barto (R-Dist. 15) ran unopposed in the primary and will face Tonya K. MacBeth (D) in the general election.

State Reps. Heather Carter and John Allen (R-Dist. 15) ran unopposed for their two seats in the Republican primary and will face Brandon Dwyer (D) in the general.

U.S. Sen. John McCain (R) won the primary and will face Ann Kirkpatrick (D) in the general election.

U.S. Rep. David Schweikert (R-Dist. 6) won the primary against Russ Wittenberg with no one challenging him in the general election.

County Recorder Helen Purcell (R) was able to eek out a primary win by 187 votes against Aaron Flannery and will face Adrian Fontes (D) in the general election.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio won the Republican primary with 65.4 percent of the vote against Dan Saban (26.88), Wayne Baker (3.7) and Marsha Ann Hill (4.02) and will face Paul Penzone (D), who ran unopposed, in the general election.

Maricopa County Supervisor Steve Chucri (R-Dist 2) ran unopposed in the primary and faces no opponent in the general election.
