I sent the message appearing below to Mr. Clay Thompson. Doesn’t The Arizona Republic require that its writers abide by grammatical and spelling standards? Has the proofreading profession gone to the same Valhalla as the buggy whip? I like Mr. Thompson’s column, even with his frequent grammatical gaffes. I just feel that a journalist should properly employ the tools of his trade.
