Desert Foothills Lutheran Church and Preschool (DFLC) announces new worship times beginning on September 11. The new Sunday worship times will be 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. The 8:30 a.m. service will be more traditional with organ, hymn singing, and a relevant message based on Scripture. The 11 a.m. service will be contemporary and will provide an experience of current Christian songs on the radio and a message that is applicable to the struggles and joys people face week to week. These worship time changes will enable DFLC to add an Education Hour that does not conflict with any worship times. The addition of an education hour and the new worship times will begin September 11.
Attendees will be able to select from a number of opportunities for Spiritual Growth at DFLC during the Education hour from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. This will include children’s ministries, youth group, and adult Bible classes. The curriculum for children and youth (preschool through 12th grade) will lead them through the whole Bible over three years. Students will journey from Genesis to Revelation and discover how God’s plan of redemption unfolds throughout Scripture and still today, compelling them to join the mission of God. The Adult Bible Class will look at real life issues and how they are addressed in the Bible.
In addition, DFLC will continue to provide an opportunity for members and guests to visit with each other in the Fellowship Hall starting at 9:30 AM. During this time a selection of fruits, cheeses and baked goods; along with a variety of beverages are provided for everyone’s enjoyment.
