With the recent changes in the town core area of Cave Creek (that is, the destruction of landscaped islands beautifully decorated with desert flora, and replaced with a hot sea of black tar), I feel that a name change for the town core is in order. There is a town in Arizona called Pinetop, and it’s a very descriptive name. Along those lines, I propose the new name of Blacktop, Arizona for our downtown. Blacktop is a more appropriate name for our newly molten town than anything to do with a Cave or a Creek!
