PHOENIX – The eleventh annual Arizona Big Game Super Raffle (AZBGSR) public drawing date is rapidly approaching and the deadline to order raffle tickets online is 10 p.m. (MST) Sunday, July 10, 2016.
The Arizona Game and Fish Commission awards the Arizona Big Game Super Raffle a total of ten Special Big Game Tags, one for each of the state’s big game species — bighorn sheep, elk, mule deer, white-tailed deer, pronghorn antelope, buffalo, turkey, bear, javelina and mountain lion. Winners will be permitted to hunt 365 days between Aug. 15, 2016 and Aug. 14, 2017, in most game management units statewide. In addition to the ten Special Big Game Tags, the raffle includes a Swarovski Optics package donated by Swarovski Optik and a New Mexico Trophy Elk Hunt donated by Mangas Guide Service.
Raffle tickets are $5 to $25 each, depending on species, and can be ordered online at www.arizonabiggamesuperraffle.com. There is no limit on how many raffle tickets can be ordered.
New in 2016 – AZBGSR launched the ‘Buy Early, Buy Often, Win Big!’ Incentive Drawings – each month December through June, thirty-one additional winners were drawn for prizes from the nation’s top manufacturers and suppliers of outdoor equipment. Each raffle ticket purchase made online through the AZBGSR website was automatically entered for a chance to win a monthly prize.
Bonus Drawing – The response from sportsmen to the monthly incentive drawings was so overwhelming that a Special Bonus Prize drawing has been added! All raffle tickets purchased online June 1, 2016 through June 30, 2016 are automatically entered into a Special drawing to win a 6×8 Jumping Jack Trailer with a retail value of $7,000. Orders must be placed online at www.arizonabiggamesuperraffle.com to receive automatic entry in this bonus prize drawing. The name of the winner for the Jumping Jack trailer will be announced on the AZBGSR website on July 4, 2016.
The names of the winners of the ten Special Big Game Tags, Optics Package and New Mexico Elk Hunt will be drawn at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 23, 2016 during the Sportsmen’s Open Forum at department headquarters (Quail Room), 5000 W. Carefree Highway, Phoenix. The drawing will be webcast at www.azgfd.gov/video/LiveStreamingVideo.html. Winners do not need to be present. Winners will be contacted by phone.
