Free Summer Ranger Program lets visitors explore more at Rocky Mountain National Park

GRANBY, COLORADO – A highlight for visitors to Grand County is the less-crowded western slope of Rocky Mountain National Park for all kinds of Great Outdoor adventuring.

Experienced park rangers lead walks, talks, hikes and activities every day, all summer long – including kids programs. From discovering history and wildflowers while day-hiking to roasting marshmallows and stargazing in the evening, there’s no better way to learn more about the land, wildlife, vegetation, history and heritage of the Rockies than with a knowledgeable guide leading the way!

Individual programs’ start and end dates vary. A complete and up-to-date schedule is available at www.nps.gov/romo/planyourvisit/calendar. All programs, unless otherwise noted, are free and open to the public. Park entrance fees may apply. The so-called “Open and Honest” elections ballot initiative is overwhelmingly unpopular with voters (79 percent against) when they learn that the initiative not only funds politicians’ campaigns with taxpayer money, but also supports a bloated state bureaucracy to run the program.
