PRESCOTT Chip Davis, candidate for the Arizona House of Representatives in Legislative District 1, has announced endorsements by former Arizona Speaker of the House Andy Tobin, LD 1 Senator Steve Pierce and Prescott City Councilmen Steve Blair and Greg Lazzell.

“Chip Davis is an honorable man, and he is a perfect fit to represent rural Arizona in the Arizona Legislature,” Tobin said. “His record on the Yavapai Board of Supervisors speaks for itself in that he has remained true to his fiscally conservative principles and also accomplished great things for the good of his constituents. He will be a fine addition to the Arizona House of Representatives, and I am extremely excited to endorse his candidacy.”

“As someone who knows this district as well as anyone, I am proud to endorse my friend Chip Davis for the Arizona House of Representatives,” Pierce said. “Believe me when I say you can depend on Chip Davis. He has deep roots in the district. He understands our values, our needs, and our history. Chip will work hard everyday, just as he has in Yavapai County, to decrease the size of government and make government work for the people. I look forward to seeing what Chip Davis accomplishes at the Arizona Legislature.”

“Chip Davis is a friend and someone who has the backbone needed to lead in challenging times,” Blair said. “We need someone who we can trust down at the Arizona Legislature to do our work – and do it to the best of his abilities, which I know Chip Davis will do each and every day he serves. It’s a no-brainer for me to endorse Chip Davis for the Arizona House of Representatives, and I urge all my fellow LD 1 voters to vote for him.”\

“It’s so important that we have people at the Arizona Legislature who understand the needs of rural cities and towns and who are able to work with city councils for the benefit of our shared constituents,” Lazzell said. “I know that Chip Davis will do what is right for the cities and towns in LD 1, and that is why he has my full support for the Arizona House of Representatives. He’s a conservative leader who deserves our votes in this primary election.”

A fourth generation Arizonan, Chip’s parents still raise cattle on his great grandparents’ homestead west of the Bradshaw Mountains in southwestern Yavapai County. Chip, his wife Karen, four children, and ten grandchildren all appreciate the rich history, scenic splendor and diverse culture of Arizona and believe it is a heritage that must be treated with respect and safeguarded for the future. Chip’s proactive approach to government and his “can do” attitude has put him at the forefront in changing the way that Yavapai County does business and has marked him as one of the most dynamic leaders in local and regional government.
