Small-business group releases its list of pre-primary endorsements for state House and Senate

PHOENIX, Ariz., Arizona’s voice of small business announces its endorsement of 51 candidates running for the state Legislature. Eleven of the 16 Senate candidates supported are incumbents running for re-election; five Senate candidates are members of the House of Representatives running for a seat in the upper chamber.

Twenty-six of the 35 House candidates receiving an endorsement are incumbents running for re-election plus one senator who is running for the House due to term limits. Also, eight non-incumbents running for the House receive NFIB’s nod. The organization expects to supplement its list of endorsements after the August 30th primary election.

“These candidates represent small business’ choice for the Arizona Legislature either due to their excellent voting records in office or because of pro-free-enterprise public policy positions detailed in our non-incumbent candidate questionnaire,” said Farrell Quinlan, Arizona state director for the National Federation of Independent Business, the nation’s largest and leading small-business association with 350,000 members nationwide, including more than 6,000 in Arizona. Today’s endorsements were made by the NFIB/Arizona SAFE (Save America’s Free Enterprise) Trust, the political action committee for NFIB.
