Oh What Love live tour

7 p.m. on December 13 at Good Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church

The Good Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church is hosting the Watoto Choir from Uganda, East Africa on December 13 performing for their concert Oh What Love. Since 1994, Watoto children’s choirs have travelled the world expressing the plight of Africa’s orphaned children and vulnerable women. The children are orphans suffering the loss of parent(s) to war or AIDS and rescued currently living in the Watoto church and village in Kampala, Uganda. The appeal is saving children to ultimately help transform their nation. Watoto means children in the Swahili language.

Oh What Love is a new tour that began in January 2015 presenting the vitality of the new Africa. The presentation takes you on an emotional journey from despair to joyous celebration with the vibrancy of urban sound and color reflecting blends of traditional and modern dance. The Watato Children’s Choir is made up of orphan children ages from 6 to 13 years being cared for by Watoto Child Care Ministry in Uganda. Arrangements were made locally for housing, food, and other necessities.

There is no charge for this December 13 event (7 p.m.) and experience held at The Good Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church, 6502 East Cave Creek Road, Cave Creek, AZ 85331. After the concert in the church, there is a reception in the community building (Maitland Hall) next to the church. Information: call 480.488.3283 or 480.595.9255. Please join in this celebration!
