PHOENIX – A spectacular Broadway-style musical titled Loving the Silent Tears will be screened for the public on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at The Heard Museum (in the Steele Auditorium).
Loving the Silent Tears is an international musical that takes a journey to 16 countries across 6 continents through music, dance, and poetry, to tell a touching story about humanity’s search for inner peace and happiness.

Directed by Tony Award nominee Vincent Paterson (Michael Jackson’s and Madonna’s world tours) and choreographed by Emmy-winning Bonnie Story (High School Musical 1, 2, 3), this musical was an impressive collaboration of top artists, composers and creative’s with 15 Grammy Awards, 4 Academy Awards, 3 Tony Awards, and 6 Emmy Awards.

The concept for Loving the Silent Tears was created by 2-time Academy Award-winning composer Al Kasha (The Poseidon Adventure), who was inspired by the poetry collectionSilent Tears, written in the 1980s by world-renowned spiritual teacher, humanitarian, poet and artist Supreme Master Ching Hai in her 30s.

George Chakiris, the Oscar-winning legendary actor of West Side Story who participated in the premiere, said, “First of all, to see a musical evening, that in itself is a treat. But seeing also the inspiration for this particular evening, I think it’s awesome…beautifully inspired.”

Loving the Silent Tears, a benefit show, premiered on October 27, 2012 in front of a full 6,000-member audience at the famous Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, USA. Since its DVD release, screenings of Loving the Silent Tears have been held worldwide, and we are happy to bring the show to Phoenix.

The musical takes us on a magical train ride around the globe through the eyes of an older woman and a young man who are guided by the train’s mysterious conductor on an incredible journey. At every destination, the audience will enjoy breathtaking musical numbers by award-winning composers, performed by Broadway and pop music stars, world-class international singers, 48 top-notch dancers, and a live orchestra.

“This musical will leave a profound message in everybody that has the opportunity to see it, a message of spirituality, love and humanity all together,” said one of the distinguished composers Jorge Calandrelli, a 6-time Grammy winner and 2-time Oscar nominee (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).

Jon Secada, 2-time Grammy Award-winning pop star and cast member stated, “I feel very honored and proud to be a part of this show and the message that it conveys. It transcends any type of religious beliefs. It just deals with who we are as human beings.”
