Canyon Springs Kinder’garden’ Grand Opening celebrated April 22
Canyon Springs Elementary School Kindergarten teacher, Jaime Hansen, was awarded $450 from the Deer Valley Education Foundation for an Impact grant funding the Kinder’garden’.
The garden was created using the funds to support the Kindergarten Program and the STEM program unique to Canyon Springs which promotes Science, Engineering, Math and Technology in the classroom. The ribbon cutting ceremony was conducted on Wednesday, April 22 in celebration of Earth Day.
Principal Graham, as pictured with scissors, was present for the ribbon cutting in which students sang songs, watered and tended their newly planted garden and conducted a campus clean-up. The garden is a gift that will keep giving for all students at Canyon Springs and generations to come.
