Do you want to take better pictures, but aren't sure where to start? Or are you an 'enthusiast' who just wants your images to pop more? This two-part workshop is a great opportunity for those wanting to increase their skill at taking better nature pictures.

The instructors, Kazu Okutumi (kazuphoto.com) and Andrew Rogers (silversunbeamphoto.com), will provide personal attention to address your needs. The workshop will have two sessions - participants must sign up to get more specific information about the location and workshop details: Note: Rain or heavy cloud cover for first session may result in cancellation or rescheduling. Total fee will be $75, with 10 percent of the fee directly supporting Desert Foothills Land Trust.

Session 1 - Saturday, May 2; 8 – 10 a.m. - The workshop will take place at the Desert Foothills Land Trust Jewel of the Creek Preserve in Cave Creek (Arizona). Kazu and Andrew will demonstrate some techniques and have you use those techniques in this incredible Sonoran Desert riparian preserve.

Session 2 - Saturday, May 9; 8 – 10 a.m. - This follow-up session will take place at the Anthem Civic Building (Anthem, Arizona). Participants will bring photos that they have taken using the techniques learned in Phase 1. The class will discuss how they applied the Session 1 lessons, questions that they may still have and participants will receive feedback from the instructors.
We want each of our students to be able to focus on their artistic expression and enjoy the experience of photographing the unique outdoors scenes of our incredible Sonoran Desert.
When you enjoy what you’re seeing, we’ll help you make it show in your work. This workshop is designed for participants with a basic to intermediate level of skill using their digital cameras. Point and shoot cameras as well as SLR cameras are welcome.
