Arizona Fine Art EXPO
This high-end tent showing features 10 weeks of passion, creativity and inspiration as renowned artists from across the globe create original, one-of-a-kind pieces for sale in 115 studios. Patrons have a chance to meet the artists, watch them in action and learn about their inspiration and techniques.

Black Mountain DAR
The Black Mountain Foothills Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, which encompasses Cave Creek, Carefree, North Scottsdale, North Phoenix and surrounding areas, will be screening the film "An Unsung American Hero" by Linda Krecker at their January 26 meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Iron-Gogebic "Up North" Reunion
The annual “Up North”, Iron-Gogebic Reunion in Arizona will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Starfire Golf Club, 11500 N. Hayden Road, Scottsdale, Arizona. Current and former residents of Iron and Gogebic Counties of northern Wisconsin and Michigan are invited to attend. Come and meet "Yoopers" for a fun day of reminiscing.

Open Houses set for Foothills Academy
Foothills Academy College Prep and Foothills Academy Elementary Prep are having their Enrollment Open House on Wednesday, Feb. 11 from 5:30 –7 p.m.

Foothills Academy is located at 7191 E. Ashler Hills Dr. Scottsdale, AZ, 85266 and Foothills Academy Elementary is located at 4720 E. Lone Mountain Dr. Cave Creek, AZ, 85331.

This open house is for prospective students and their parents to come view the school, meet the teachers, and find out what Foothills Academy has to offer.

Piano duo
Piano music will fill the sanctuary of Christ the Lord Lutheran Church, 9205 E. Cave Creek Road, Carefree, at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, as the church’s Living Music Performance Series continues with the Transcontinental Piano Duo.

Pianists Elaine Greenfield, who teaches at the Adamant School of Music in Vermont, and Janice Meyer Thompson, Arizona State University faculty emerita, will present “Beethoven to Bernstein – Two Centuries of Piano Duos,” on the church’s new Steinway “B” grand piano. Tickets: $25.

“Golf-Fore-Charity” April 27
Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a great round of golf while supporting St. Vincent de Paul and other local charities. The Knights of Columbus, Council #11116 from Carefree will be holding their 14th annual Golf-Fore-Charity event on two of North Scottsdale’s premier private golf courses, Troon Country Club and Desert Highlands Country Club, on April 27.

Last year’s event raised $125,000 for St. Vincent de Paul and $40,000 for other local charities. Corporate sponsorships range from $2,000 to over $20,000 and hole sponsorships are available for $1,000. Donated vacation properties, airline points, dinners, golf foursomes, services and other general items are needed to help assure successful silent and live auctions.
