Scottsdale-chartered Grand Canyon Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution featured Joe Wiegand, Teddy Roosevelt impersonator, at the January 3 chapter meeting held at Chaparral Suites Resort, Scottsdale.

gcc darJoe Wiegand has portrayed Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt, the 26th U.S. president, in all 50 states and at the White House with humor and fact.  Teddy Roosevelt was a rancher, Rough Rider and oversaw the establishment of American National Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Reserves.

DAR seeks to promote American history, one of the hallmarks of its mission, by honoring significant historical people, places, dates and events. Teddy Roosevelt’s commitment to the quality of our resources celebrates DAR’s equal focus on the preservation, protection, and restoration of the natural environment.
