Childbirth at 65

Bookmark and Share

What with all the new medical advancements regarding fertility, Gladys had a 65-year-old friend that was able to give birth to her 6th baby. The 65 year old mother was thrilled. When she was discharged from the hospital, Gladys went to visit.

'May I see the new baby?' Gladys asked.

'Not yet,' said the mom. "I'll make coffee and we can visit for a while.'

Thirty minutes passed and Gladys inquired, 'May I please see the baby now?'

'No, not yet,' She said.

Another 20 minutes elapsed.

Gladys said 'May I see the baby?'

'No' replied the friend.

Growing a bit impatient, Gladys asked, 'Well, when might I see that new baby?'
'When he cries' came the reply.

'When he cries? Why must I wait until he cries – can’t I just quietly look in?'

'Because … I forgot where I put him.’
