Town sues for prescriptive rights to Echo Canyon

CAVE CREEK – Last Thursday, the town was granted a temporary restraining order against Christian Schulze, Carolyn Brooks Johnstone and the Carolyn Brooks Johnstone Living Trust, the property owner, requiring the gated barriers blocking off access to Echo Canyon Drive be removed.

MCSO and Rural/Metro respond to man lying under tree

Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies and Rural/Metro Fire department responded to a man lying under a tree along Cave Creek Road just west of Hogs ‘N Horses. A deputy at the scene stated, “It looks like the heat just got to him, nothing serious.”

SAN FRANCISCO – On Monday, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals reversed and remanded the district court’s denial of a motion for a preliminary injunction in a case challenging an Arizona policy prohibiting recipients of Obama’s executive order called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) from obtaining driver licenses using employment authorization documents as proof of their authorized presence in the United States.
