Hogs ‘N Horses owner arrested on variety of charges

CAVE CREEK – Collin Leroy “T.C.” Thorstenson, 57, owner of the Hogs ‘N Horses Saloon, located at 6705 E. Cave Creek Road, Cave Creek, was arrested on Sunday, March 9 by Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies in the wee hours of the morning on charges of indecent exposure, driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content of .08 or more and assault – touched to injure, all misdemeanors.

CAVE CREEK – On Thursday, March 6, Franco Marzella, a recent Northern Arizona University pre-pharmacy graduate, had a table set up at an area near the Cave Creek Post Office with information and petitions to sign for the recall of Vice Mayor Adam Trenk and his fellow slate councilmen Mike Durkin, Reg Monachino and Charles Spitzer.

Carefree appoints committee to work on economic development

CAREFREE – After council unanimously (with Councilman Marty Saltzman absent) approved the consent agenda, Mayor David Schwan, stating he had no current events to announce, turned the floor over to Vice Mayor Les Peterson to explain the only general agenda item: discussion and possible action to form an Economic Development Committee and appoint council representation to the committee.
