jessica marlowCAVE CREEK – The day before Christmas, Utilities Manager Jessica Marlow (r) tendered her resignation effective Jan. 15.

Marlow, who saw the town through the construction of its wastewater treatment facility and numerous upgrades to the water utility over the past six-and-a-half years, thanked Interim Town Manager Rodney Glassman and the town for professional and personal development provided.

Marlow said she has been “presented with an exciting opportunity for career advancement, and will be accepting this new position.”

Marlow said her new employer has agreed to allow her to assist in the transition in selecting a new utilities manager, as well as debriefing the newly hired town manager as to the operations of the utilities department.

She said she will be able to assist the town in that capacity for four hours per week during the first month of her new employment, which will begin Jan. 21, 2014.

Marlow also offered to make herself available after hours to address any questions or concerns that arise during the transition.

“I would like to leave the town on a positive note, so the door is open for potential future opportunities,” wrote Marlow. “Working with the town for the last six-and-a-half years has been a truly enjoyable experience, and I wish everyone the best.”
