Scottsdale Shares campaign assists with holiday donations
The Scottsdale Shares campaign returns this holiday season to make it easier for residents to get information about city charitable programs and how to make donations. The Scottsdale Shares campaign provides one point of contact for residents, businesses and organizations seeking to assist those in need through donations or volunteer activities.

Participating programs include:
• Scottsdale’s Adopt-A-Family Program
• Scottsdale’s Adopt-A-Senior Program
• The Scottsdale Fire Department's annual toy drive
• The Paiute Community Center’s annual toy and teen gift program
• The Vista del Camino Food Bank
• Scottsdale Cares, community assistance program

Dedication of Bil Keane statue Nov. 8
Come help celebrate and honor Bil Keane and dedicate his “Giddy-up, Daddy” statue in the new Family Circus Pavilion at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park, 7301 E. Indian Bend Rd. The celebration will be on Friday, Nov. 8 starting at 2 p.m. For more information call 480-312-2312.

7th Annual Holiday Bazaar
The 7th Annual Holiday Bazaar will be held at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church in Carefree Friday, Nov. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission is free and there’s plenty of parking. More than 70 hand-picked vendors selling unique and one-of-a-kind items, Book Nook, Corner Café (breakfast or lunch) and the Sweets & Treats Shop for delicious home-baked goodies. Foothills Academy open house
Foothills Academy College Prep will have an enrollment open house on Nov. 13 from 5 – 6:30 p.m. on both the elementary and middle/high school campuses.

Foothills Academy is a top rated school, which includes elementary for grades K-6 located at 4720 E. Lone Mountain in Cave Creek, and a middle/high school campus for grades 7-12 located at 7191 E. Ashler Hills Drive in North Scottsdale.

STMS Future Stinger and Parent Night
STMS will be holding an informal open house for 6th grade students and parents on Wednesday, Nov. 20.  An informational forum hosted by the STMS counselors will be held at 5 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. in the gym (the same information will be presented at both sessions).  Classrooms will be open to tour and staff will be on hand to answer your questions.  Visit the new Sci-Tech Action Lab, meet the World Language teachers (STMS is the only middle school in AZ to have world language taught as a core subject) and visit all of the 21st Century Classrooms infused with technology.  Come see what Stinger pride is all about!

Storytimes at the Railroad Park are Back!
Thanks to the beautiful weather, the Scottsdale Public Library will be hosting Storytime at the McCormick Stillman Railroad Park the first Tuesday of the month from 10:30 – 11 a.m. through May 2014. Enjoy silly songs and fun stories with other library friends. Look for them on the lawn, south-east of the carousel. Storytimes at the Railroad Park. EVENING MIXER

Whiskers & Wine Tickets On Sale
Carefree Plaza, Thursday, November 21, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. Sample fine wines from local cellars as well as some fine cuisine from local restaurants. Jazz music and a terrific silent auction while supporting the dogs and cats at Foothills Animal Rescue shelter.
