SCOTTSDALE – There's a certain expectation to diner food. It's comforting, it's familiar, it's nourishing and much like your mom makes. At the Summit Diner, owner Joe Kapidani strives to make his diner the local favorite. "You don't have to dress up, you can come in every day. I want this to be a place people stop in, feel welcome and have a good, fresh made meal at a fair price."

Since opening last October, the Summit Diner already established a faithful following. One program the regulars love is the VIP Club. (It's 1,800 members strong!) Sign up, and for every $60 spent, diners earn a $10 credit for future meals. Plus, as very important people, you can take advantage of a free meal for your birthday and/or anniversary!

The Summit Diner is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and no one objects if you want breakfast for dinner. As a matter-of-fact, a customer favorite all day long is Eggs Benedict. For those who need gluten-free, the Summit Diner can accommodate. There's not a single item on the menu that isn't frequently ordered, as they're all yummy, but some must-tries include Ruebens, Patty Melts, Tuna Melts and Chili. Enjoy your meal in the family-friendly and inviting eatery or get it to-go. Even to-go sandwiches include the orange slice garnishment and pickle! Outdoor seating is available as well.

Happy hour is daily from 2-6 p.m. and offers $1 off wine/beer and $2 off mixed drinks. Go online at www.summitdineraz.com for their menu, specials and coupons. You can also like them on Facebook and tweet with them on Twitter.

Summit Diner is located at 32531 N. Scottsdale Rd. Phone 480-575-6562 for directions.
