The Grand Canyon Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution met on Saturday, May 4th at Chaparral Suites in Scottsdale and heard a very interesting program by Suzanne Young of Chandler, on the history of the society, with a focus on the Real Daughters of the American Revolution.

Take your family fishing

You can fish Arizona waters for free the next two Saturdays, making this an ideal time to take the family out for some fun and relaxing outdoor recreation.

Arizona’s Free Fishing Day will be celebrated on June 1 and June 8 this year as part of National Fishing and Boating Week. On these Saturdays, no fishing licenses are required for persons fishing any public waters in Arizona.

On Friday afternoon, May 31, at an event held in the ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Phoenix Hotel, State Representative Doris Goodale (R-Dist. 5) was recognized as the 2013 “Legislator of the Year” by the Arizona Manufacturers Council (AMC).

Desert Stages Theatre Presents The Mousetrap

Desert Stages Theatre presents The Mousetrap, a murder mystery sure to capture the suspicions and shock its audience, Fri., June 7 – Sun., July 28.

Agatha Christie’s murderous classic The Mousetrap unravels the mysterious murder of a woman at a large guest house in London, where a trap is set to ensnare the perpetrator while the suspects are snowed in together during their stay. The stage is set and, in true Christie fashion, squirrely twists ensue, promising a characteristic all-consuming yarn of suspense.

Mighty Military 2013 Military Assistance Mission 

Military Assistance Mission is proud to formally invite you to the Mighty Military Invitational on October 19, 2013 at the Ben Avery Clay Target Center. The purpose of the event is to bring together both military and civilian shooters throughout our community for a sporting clay target shooting tournament. It is a blast and truly helps our organization raise funds to continue in our mission of supporting active duty Arizona military, their families, and our wounded warriors.
