Spring storm brings cooler temps, high winds and lots of dust

The photo on the left was taken at 7:30 a.m. on Monday looking north from Skyline Drive. The photo on the right is the same view taken at 1:30 p.m. after a storm blew into the Valley, bringing with it southwesterly winds of 35 mph with gusts of up to 45 mph. The spring storm brought cooler temperatures with the possibility of rain in the Valley and snow in the high country. The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality issued a High Pollution Advisory due to the blowing dust while Maricopa County declared it a “No Burn Day” for good measure.
