Vietnam Memorial Wall replica comes to Cottonwood March 28 – 31

vietnam traveling memorial wallCOTTONWOOD – For the first time, a traveling replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall will be on display in Cottonwood, Arizona March 28 – 31, 2013.  The Wall, provided by American Veterans Traveling Tribute, will arrive in Cottonwood on March 27 with an honor escort of Vietnam Veterans.  The Wall will be erected the morning of Thursday, March 28, and open with a solemn ceremony beginning at 12 noon.  Located at Cottonwood-Oak Creek School District athletic field at 500 E. Mingus Ave, the Wall will remain open around the clock until noon on Sunday, March 31.  The public is invited to attend free of charge.  This is the only location in Arizona this year for a traveling replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall.

Display of the traveling Wall is in conjunction with the Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day (WHVVD) celebration to be held on Saturday, March 30.  For more information about the Wall or the WHVVD activities, please contact Ron Luce at 928-649-2129.
