Obama's Economic Razzmatazz
Is the Truth REALLY in the Numbers?
Miami Tea Party – The Obama administration has been engaged in an aggressive media-driven re-election campaign to convince the American electorate that the President's actions since taking office as commander-in-chief have led to an improved economy and better job climate, but the reality of the economic crisis in the United States is much worse than what the White House has disclosed.
Recent "job number" reports by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) have been widely reported by the Obama administration as showing an improving economy and better employment conditions during the past several reporting periods, but as TEA Party Miami has recently stated; statistics lie, and so do those who promote manipulated data.
The jobs numbers report is supposed to indicate the condition of the economy by evaluating the number of workers in the labor force, and number of people who are unemployed or have given up looking for work. It has been used by the White House to show that "America is getting back to work,"as evidenced by the specific data the White House had been releasing to the media to promote the administrations spin on what the numbers are supposed to mean to the average American citizen. The numbers that the White House highlight do not take into consideration the many people who have become so hopeless that they have given up looking for work. The real unemployment rate is over 15% when the number of job seekers who have given up looking for work have been calculated into the equation.
The Obama administration continually proclaims how well the country is doing but the data that supports their message is being manipulated or suppressed so the White House staffers can convince voters that they deserve another term in office.
It's unfortunate that the American people are not able to trust the information that is provided to them by their elected leaders who have been entrusted by their constituency to represent the peoples interests over their own self interests. Instead, elected officials often engage in illegal, unjust, and fraudulent actions to stay in power. Many of them justify their unsavory activities as being for the better good, in that - "in politics, one has to do a little evil to do a little good," as stated by a TEA Party Miami confidant and political insider who relayed that the sentiment is widespread among politickers and policy makers.
Taxpayers are being unwittingly manipulated into supporting the administrations agenda and tactics through the misinformation that is being provided to the populous through the powerful propaganda machine that White House officials utilize for their re-election campaign.
The U.S. economy is doing so poorly that the Obama administration cannot dismiss or manipulate the economic numbers any longer - the jig is up Obama!
What does the new economic data tell us:
Unemployment Benefits - The number of people applying for unemployment benefits during the past month increased to the highest level it has been in the past six months.
Jobs - Hiring has slowed drastically since the holiday hiring spree. Only 73,000 jobs were added in May - down from approximately 225,000 new jobs created during each month of January, February, and March.
Home Sales - Residential home sales fell 1.5 percent in May indicating that any real estate recovery has either stalled or reversed course.
Manufacturing - Manufacturing activity contracted for the second straight month. The Philadelphia Federal Reserve Bank said that its index of regional manufacturing activity fell sharply to -16.6 from -5.8. That's the lowest level in a year. A reading below zero indicates a contracting economy. New orders also plummeted.
Federal Reserve Monetary Policy - The Federal Reserve drastically reduced its growth forecast for the year to approximately 1.9 percent. The Fed also extended its Operation Twist program by spending an additional $267 billion on the stimulus program.
The new economic data confirms what everyone should already know - we need to change the leadership in Washington, and also create new industries if we want to survive and thrive into the future, but politicians and lobbyists who represent big-businesses and powerful special interest groups always seem to get in the way of developing these new industries, in their attempt to quash competition and perpetuate their monopolistic control. Politics is a pay-to-play business. Florida's largest companies have learned that the easiest way to stifle competition is to have unscrupulous friends in high places. Current campaign finance laws allow unlimited, undisclosed donations to these "friends" of big business - your representatives.
To illustrate; Walt Disney World used all of their political clout and muscle to kill a proposal that would have created over 100,000 new jobs for Floridians and billions of dollars in state and local government tax revenues, so the company could maximize the returns for their shareholders by preventing other destination resort competitors from getting a foothold in the state. Disney manipulates the states political system at the expense of every prospective job-seeker in Florida, with the help of elected "representatives."
As Barack Obama positions himself for another term as President of the United States, the economy will continue to falter, businesses will fail, and those who are currently employed may soon find themselves in the unemployment lines if new policy decisions are not enacted.
Wake-up, educate yourself on the issues, and VOTE! The time to act is NOW. Your future depends on it.
