Cactus Shadows graduates 420 on May 24

Record $11.2 million scholarships won

ccusd graduationGraduating high school is perhaps the most exuberant milestone in any young life; and Thursday evening, May 24, in the main sanctuary (auditorium) of Phoenix First Assembly, 420 graduating seniors of Cactus Shadows High School Class of 2012, made certain that the school’s 24th commencement exercise enthusiastically lived up to that celebratory standard. There was plenty of good news to announce, principally that the Class of ’12 had amassed a CSHS record $11.2 million in collegiate scholarships! CCUSD Superintendent Dr. Debbi Burdick and CSHS Principal Steve Bebee led in delivering congratulations to the graduates. Valedictorian Kyle Beeks, Salutatorian Shane Dombrowski and Student Body President Meghan Foley exhorted their classmates to cherish the memories from their high school years, but to keep a determined focus on their horizons – those beyond Graduation Night! Sonoran News extends congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 2012!
