Come View and Provide Input on Preserve Plans
The City of Scottsdale has recently acquired 6,800 acres of State land for inclusion in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Planning is underway for the acquisition of an additional 6,400 acres later this year, which will link Scottsdale's Preserve to the Tonto National Forest.
With the acquisition of these lands comes the expectation to provide public access for recreational uses, primarily hiking, mountain bicycling, horseback riding, and rock climbing.
Plans for trails and public access points have been in place since 2000. In light of the recent land acquisitions, the City is updating the plans, and would like your input.

The City is hosting a series of public open houses where you will have the opportunity to view current trails and access plans, and provide input for possible revisions. Each open house will focus on a specific region of the Preserve, but you can view plans and provide feedback on any portion of the northern region at any of the open houses.

If you can't attend one of the open houses, you can view plans and provide feedback directly through the City's website: www.ScottsdaleAZ.gov/Preserve

Citizens and business owners are invited to an open house to learn about and comment on the proposed changes.
