CAVE CREEK – The Fourth Running of the Bulls Festival in America, hosted in Cave Creek, made history as people from around the world tuned in to watch the American twist on a 400-year-old Spanish tradition unfold.

Although we did see some great wipe outs, not much more than a few cuts and bruises were reported.

An awards ceremony hosted by Judge, Miss Rodeo Arizona Audrey Hall, and Event Director, Phil Immordino, was held Sunday evening in conclusion to the three-day festival. Awards of $50 were given out for Best Costume (Thing 1 and Thing 2) and for Best Wipe Out (San Diego native Patrick Richards). The first ever National Bull Run Champion title and $500 cash prize award went to Justin Kufahl, a seasoned Pamplona Runner and Instructional Guide for the Oct. 14 – 16 runs.

Immordino said, “The Running of the Bulls in Cave Creek was perfect. It could not have gone any better. There were no major injuries but enough car wrecks to make it fun and exciting. With worldwide media coverage and happy sponsors and runners, I could not be more pleased. We look forward to doing this again next year and around the country."
