Carefree Earth Day Expo Offers Free Workshops to Educate Residents on How to Reduce Electric Bills with Energy Efficiency, Free Solar Power and Building Design

Residents will learn how to utilize APS solar rebate and state/federal tax credits that will pay for a large percentage energy efficiency, solar hot water heaters and solar power installations

Carefree, Cave Creek, North Phoenix, North Scottsdale and Anthem residents are invited to attend FREE Energy Efficiency and Solar Installation and Design workshops that will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Carefree Council Chambers located at 100 Easy Street, Carefree, Arizona 85377. Friday, Feb. 25 Mayor and City Council Breakfast focuses on Public Art

SCOTTSDALE – Public Art will be the topic of the Friday, Feb. 25, Mayor and City Council Breakfast. Councilwoman Linda Milhaven will address the importance of public art as it relates to Scottsdale's quality of life and Public Art Program Director Valerie Vadala Homer will discuss the public art master planning currently under way.

The program kicks off at 7:30 a.m. with bagels and coffee, followed by an 8 a.m. program in the City Hall Kiva, 3939 N. Drinkwater Blvd. The breakfast is free and open to the public. RSVPs are not needed, but those needing additional information can contact the Mayor's Office at 480-312-7977.
