PHOENIX – On Saturday, January 15, Girl Scouts started collecting your pre-orders for all of your favorite Girl Scout cookies. Pre-orders continue through January 29, with delivery starting in mid-February.

This year, Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council will participate in a new pilot project designed to make our Girl Scout Cookie Program as strong as it can be. Girls will offer customers the Super Six — a premium selection of the all-time best-selling Girl Scout
Cookies:
Thin Mints
Samoas
Tagalongs
Trefoils
Do-si-dos
Lemon Chalet Cremes

Visit www.girlscoutsaz.org/cookies to take a look at this year’s cookie choices.

By purchasing a package of cookies you are changing the lives of girls. All of the proceeds from the cookie sale stay in the community.

The revenue is used to directly benefit girls, providing support for the programs and mission of Girl Scouting.

In fact, the girls and their troops learn important skills as they make decisions about how to use money earned via the Girl Scout Cookie Sale. Some troops may use it to help fund a weekend camping trip. Other troops have decided to travel overseas!

In the process of “building girls of courage, confidence and character,” which is the Girl Scouts mission, girls learn valuable team-building, decision-making and money-management skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

Money from Girl Scout Cookies also helps to:
• Recruit and train volunteer adults
• Provide financial assistance that allows girls with few resources to participate in Scouting and
• Keep camp fees low.
