than homan and terri bakerAt the encouragement of Mike McGregor, now deceased, and with the support of then Athletic Director Monica Barrett, Head Coach Patty Egan started Cactus Shadows’ Cross Country program in 1992. This season’s winners of the “Mike McGregor Heart-‘n-Soul Award” (Cross Country’s MVP) were sophomores Ethan Homan and Terri Baker. Homan’s medalist finish (12th) at State ranked him as the highest placing underclassman.
