Clip-board toting rotundity

Once again, our annual trip to the "Taste of Cave Creek" was marred by an unpleasant incident. This year, as soon as we had purchased our food tickets we were pounced upon by a clip-board toting rotundity named Greg. He very aggressively asked us whether we would "commit to lowering our energy usage by 10 percent." We replied that we were already quite frugal in that department, but he insistently requested our email address despite several entreaties to "Go Away." He then stated we would only receive one email. Strange!

It then dawned on me this was the very same Greg who accosted us at last year's event. In that instance, he was shilling for CCUSD and attempting to take more money from our pockets "for the children." Luckily, in that instance the voters saw through his tomfoolery.

We wonder why he was trying so hard to compile a list of Cave Creek residents' email addresses. It surely could not be so he can contact likely voters in his next attempted financial shake down of the electorate, could it? Nah! That would be unethical...

While I have quill to parchment, which genius thought it would be a good idea to have hordes of unwitting dupes in the form of children wear yellow T-shirts promoting "voteyes.org"? Some even wore badges declaring themselves "Town of Cave Creek Volunteers." Why must we politicize every event? It is supposed to be an evening of entertainment promoting the excellent establishments Cave Creek has to offer. We suspect the bleeding-heart-liberal hand of Town Manager Abujbarah was at work, here, but we could be wrong. Respectfully, we suggest that next year all parties stick to the business at hand and keep the politicking out of what was otherwise a superb event.

Disillusioned by Democrats

Thank you for your time which I know is valuable. My name is Ralph Cope. I served aboard an amphibious assault ship for almost four years in the Pacific and had a front row seat from Pearl Harbor to Okinawa. This carnage earned me five bronze stars and several years of therapy.

To the point:
I am very disillusioned by the recent antics of the Democrats and the greed they displayed to the point that I regret putting my life on the line. I did not do this for my country only to be called a Nazi and a brown shirt.

Interesting article

Interesting article about Obama and the Tim Larkin case. Is there irrefutable evidence of Obama's birthplace and citizenship?? If so, why is it not presented up through the courts in a way that is "legitimate?" Right now it seems to be a distraction with many refuting it and many claiming it to be true.

If it is true, there is not much that can be done, because the Supreme Court will uphold the election results because of the turmoil it would make in the government – no way to undo what has been done. But it would expose the fraud and allow us to correct it either by special action by Congress or an Amendment to the Constitution. Where there is smoke, there is likely to be fire. And why Obama and his staff have not addressed this head on is uneasy to me.

Had an interesting evening at the Buffalo Chip two weeks ago. Quite a place!!

Comment on Taste of Cave Creek

The Taste of Cave Creek event brought a lot of people to the Stagecoach Village. It allowed people to experience a built environment that reflects the Cave Creek style. The development is mostly vacant, which reflects on the economy, but the town and the restaurant's efforts in this event will help showcase Cave Creek.

Mitchell and healthcare reform

There are many TV ads lately from Harry Mitchell touting his support of the healthcare bill (ObamaCare) and the fact that he voted for it for the American people. But 70 percent of the people of Scottsdale did not want it.

The healthcare bill is not about improving healthcare but about seizing and limiting rights of the individual. Healthcare in the United States needs reform, but this bill does not lower costs and does not improve the quality of healthcare. By taking 500 billion dollars from an insolvent Medicare Advantage program it will limit healthcare to seniors and decrease funding to physicians and hospitals. It will actually increase costs. Many doctors will follow the example of the Mayo Clinic and stop accepting Medicare patients because of financial necessity.

The bill does not address tort reform and the increasing expenses of medical practices. To make matters worse the Obama administration has hired 17,000 new IRS agents to enforce this bill and administer fines to the American people if it is not strictly followed.

By supporting Nancy Pelosi’s Radical Healthcare bill that 70 percent of the people do not want is arrogant and unpatriotic.

We need a change in Washington.

Proud to be an American

Here's an important announcement from the Obama administration but I want to give you the background.

In the late 1980s the EPA discovered a problem with plankton in the Great Lakes. The solution was to bring in Asian Carp to eat the plankton. However, these fish are so aggressive they eat 40 percent of their weight per day and are beating out native fish for food, threatening those populations.

This issue was brought to President Obama's Council on Environmental Quality by no other than Senator Dick Durbin. He was quoted as saying "This is a serious challenge, a serious threat. When it comes to the Asian Carp threat, we are not in denial. We are not in the go-slow mode. We are in full attack, full speed mode. We want to stop this carp from advancing." The Obama administration's response was to appoint a Carp Czar.

Now I understand why up to this point in time Michelle Obama had no reason to be proud. So Americans stand tall, walk proud because we are the only industrialized Western Country to have a Carp Czar. But wait, an even prouder moment may be at hand. There has been a burgeoning infestation of bed bugs so soon we may be able to hold our heads even higher.
It seems ironic that the Democrats are taking the threat of this fish more seriously than
drugs or illegal immigrants crossing our borders. And the politicians can't understand why Americans are upset.

How to avoid becoming cyanotic

Times are tough. Many of those U.S. taxpayers who are lucky enough to still have jobs are working at a reduced income because either their hours have been cut or their base salary has been cut. Now add to that the fact that the true cost of living (that which includes food and energy) has gone up considerably in the last 2 years, and you have the recipe for serious problems if taxes are increased now.

If the truth was known and everyone was considered, 21.7 percent of potential U.S. taxpayers are currently unemployed. 40.2 million Americans are currently on food stamps and the Whitehouse estimates that 43.3 million U.S. citizens will be on food stamps by the end of the 2011 fiscal year.

Over 900,000 homes were foreclosed on during 2009 and we are on track to hit over 1,000,000 foreclosures during 2010. Now keep in mind that the average number of foreclosures in the 10 years preceding 2009 was only 100,000 homes per year. That is a 900 percent increase in the number of foreclosures.

Even though the government handed-out insane amounts of money to banks over the last 2 years, fewer small businesses were able to get loans than at any time during the last 17 years.

Jobs have been shipped to countries off shore at a crippling rate and foreign nationals have been brought in to perform many jobs recently held by U.S. citizens, displacing the taxpaying U.S. citizens who once held those jobs ... and, this trend continues unabated.
Meanwhile, the current administration does not promote the creation of legislation that would stop this trend and Congress hasn't lifted a finger to stem the flow of jobs lost to foreign countries or foreign nationals in this country.

The government has stopped all cost of living increases for Social Security recipients for at least 2 years (if not more), while the Federal Reserve has all but frozen interest rates at near zero, resulting in the inability of those on fixed incomes to generate decent return on their retirement investments.

It certainly appears that the President and Congress are far more concerned with helping illegal immigrants gain citizenship (AND THE VOTE) than they are about keeping U.S. families in their homes, well fed, and able to save for their children's college educations.
Now, the current administration wants to allow the Bush tax cuts to expire resulting in increased taxes for all Americans.

What is wrong with this picture folks?

If you believe that the current administration and Congress are interested in helping the U.S. citizen and taxpayer, then you must also believe in the tooth fairy, Santa Claus, and the Easter Bunny.

The facts I have described above cannot possibly be part of a program designed to help the American people. In my opinion, the programs put in place by the current Administration and Congress are far more likely to bring our country to third world status than they are to restore its greatness. Since 2006, we have been on a downhill slope that gets steeper every day. We have reached a point where before we help other countries, we must help ourselves.

Look around you. Examine the facts of what has happened and is happening. Compare where we were vs. where we are now and where we appear to be headed. Stop listening to the politicians, open your eyes, and see for yourself. You must understand that if you continue to rely on the current crew of supposed leaders to do your breathing for you, you will soon be turning blue!

Respectfully yours,

Allegiance/Savior

Allegiance: adherence, ardor, consecration, constancy, dedication, deference, devotion, duty, faithfulness, fealty, fidelity, homage, honor, obedience, obligation, piety.

Be of no delusion … Illegal Criminal Alien Invaders have NO allegiance to our country. After interviewing scores of Illegal Aliens and their children born here … when asked if they consider themselves American Citizens or not, time after time their response was. "My mother and my father are Mexican or whatever country they're from – and I am Mexican or whatever." These are the people who some of us INSIST upon lavishing citizenship on. People who neither appreciate citizenship, nor want citizenship, and have NO intention of being dedicated to our country.

We challenge you to get three Illegal Alien Invaders together and have them recite the Pledge of allegiance. They don't know it, don't mean it and have no intention of abiding by it. They are NOT trying to be a part of us.

Savior: Good Samaritan, conservator, defender, deliverer, friend in need, guardian, guardian angel, hero, liberator, preserver, protector, rescuer, salvager, salvation.

It's time to save our selves. With God's help. We need today’s Einstein's, George Washington Carvers, and Thomas Edison's to apply themselves and devise a way for us to get out of this mess. There is no other country or people that are going to helicopter in and save the United States of America, like we've done for countless others. We must save ourselves. And when we do, give the congratulations and thanks to ourselves and God, in whom we trust.

Puppy: Mommy, mommy, mommy … I want a puppy. If we get this puppy, you have to feed it, clean up after it, and protect it. Mommy, mommy, mommy … where's my puppy. Squashed by an armored truck.

How does this apply to you … you won an election, you have to keep what you won. Vote
We of us who are Black are insulted beyond our ability to accurately provide a description. Even though some of us grew up in the south and witnessed KKK Klan rallies, and our relatives were victims of lynching, and our family members were tortured and tormented trying to get educated and respected at lunch establishments ... even having experienced and desperately straining to convince ourselves that we as a People had grown on past that ... even with the ever lifted up hope of brotherhood with our fellow countrymen ... even with the centuries of looking past the hate and reaching for the hope of peace and unity ... even after resisting the deafening cries of revenge , revenge, have you no human dignity … even with the rapes of our mothers and the wedding of our daughters … even with the systematic attempts of exterminating our youth … even after the rivers of blood and honor shed on foreign soil for all our countrymen's sake, and countless acts of heroism sacrificing our lives and our dreams that we as a people can live harmoniously... even after tolerating being spat on in public without apology, churches bombed, children handcuffed and shot, unjustly forced to live in the streets, repeatedly trying to have some other race or group of people take our rightful place in our nation , and a f****n kabillion insults and overt attacks ... the behavior of some of our fellow countrymen towards this our first Black President surpasses even what we would expect from the most hickest, hatefulest, krackerest kracker we could imagine.

It's true our children need to see just how decrepit and dastardly some of our fellow citizens truly are; still ... the burning of the insult can not be satisfied.

And how did you expect Black America to respond to this shameless display of hate and distain toward this first Black President ... just shuffle along and mumble ..." yes suuh Missuh White Folks , we know how you HA---TE Niggus."

No.

What we will do is everything in our power to make sure you simple despicable oafs NEVER see the light of power again in our life time.

To the Party of NO we just say ... "No."

Big Banks and Business have betrayed us. Let's turn it around; put your money in local banks and Credit Unions.

Bust the Banks.
Clean Congress.
Repel the invasion.
Just say no.
Any questions?

You GO - MO ... Just Say NO

Why Missouri has NO illegal Aliens ...

Interesting: Missouri 's approach to the problem of illegal immigration appears to be more advanced, sophisticated, strict and effective than anything to date in Arizona.

Do the loonies in San Francisco or the White House, appreciate what Missouri has done?
When are our fearless President and his dynamic Attorney General going to take action to require Missouri start accepting illegal immigrants once again?

So, why doesn't Missouri receive attention?

Answer: There are no Mexican illegals in Missouri to demonstrate.

The "Show Me" state has once again showed us how it should be done. There needs to be more publicity and exposure regarding what Missouri has done.

In 2007, Missouri placed on the ballot a proposed constitutional amendment designating English as the official language of Missouri. In November, 2008, nearly 90 percent voted in favor! Thus English became the official language for ALL governmental activity in Missouri.
No individual has the right to demand government services in a language OTHER than English.

In 2008 a measure was passed that required the Missouri Highway Patrol and other law enforcement officials to verify the immigration status of any person arrested, and inform federal authorities if the person was found to be in Missouri illegally. Missouri law enforcement offices receive specific training with respect to enforcement of federal immigration laws.

In Missouri illegal immigrants do NOT have access to taxpayers’ benefits such as food stamps and health care through Missouri HealthNET. In 2009 a measure was passed that ensures Missouri's public institutions of higher education do NOT award financial aid to individuals who are illegally in the United States.

In Missouri all post-secondary institutions of higher education annually certify to the Missouri Dept. of Higher Education that they have NOT knowingly awarded financial aid to students who are unlawfully present in the United States.

So while Arizona has made national news for its new law, it is important to remember Missouri has been far more proactive in addressing this horrific problem.
Missouri has made it clear that illegal immigrants are NOT welcome in the state and they will certainly NOT receive public benefits at the expense of Missouri taxpayers!

To the Cactus Shadows community

I want to personally apologize for the students that demonstrated poor judgment in circling our track and using inappropriate language during the last moments of our varsity football game vs. Cactus Shadows last Friday night. I was embarrassed when heard what happened after the game. At Paradise Valley, we choose to follow and adhere to "Victory with Honor" that the AIA promotes each year to all schools associated with the AIA. At PV, our football program has the utmost respect for Coach DeGrenier, his football program, and Cactus Shadows High School. I can't take back what the students chose to do on Friday night, but I can assure you, our administration has taken appropriate measures to make sure this does not happen again.

Good Luck to the Falcons the rest of the season!

Sincerely,

Donnie Yantis | Head Football Coach | Paradise Valley High School

Prop. 8 Judge to retire

Federal Judge Vaughn Walker, who has attracted national attention for his decision last month striking down Prop. 8 and lambasting supporters of traditional marriage, has announced he will retire from the federal bench in February.

The court announcement, issued late yesterday, notes that Walker's 7-year term as Chief Judge for the Northern District of California began September 1, 2004, which means he is leaving the post 8 months early. After stepping down as Chief Judge, Walker will remain on the court until sometime in February of next year. He then plans to return to the private sector, where he was a partner in a large firm before spending 21 years on the federal bench. Walker will be succeeded as Chief Judge by current District Judge James Ware.
Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) president Brad Dacus commented, "This is a significant development in the Prop. 8 case, which is likely to be eventually sent back down to the District Court after the Ninth Circuit and Supreme Court consider it. Chief Judge Walker's retirement cannot come soon enough for millions of California voters, who he called irrational for their support of traditional marriage. We call on President Obama to nominate a replacement for Chief Judge Walker who will respect the people of California and refuse to legislate from the bench."

Pacific Justice Institute is a non-profit 501(c)(3) legal defense organization specializing in the defense of religious freedom, parental rights, and other civil liberties. Pacific Justice Institute works diligently, without charge, to provide their clients with all the legal support they need. Pacific Justice Institute's strategy is to coordinate and oversee large numbers of concurrent court actions through a network of over 1,000 affiliate attorneys nationwide. And, according to former US Attorney General Edwin Meese, "The Institute fills a critical need for those whose civil liberties are threatened." "Through our dedicated attorneys and supporters, we defend the rights of countless individuals, families and churches... without charge."

Justice delayed is justice denied

Why the delay for the congressional trials on charges filed by the House Ethics Committee against Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY) and Maxine Waters (D-CA)?  House Ethics Committee Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) seems to be delaying the trials as both Rep. Charlie Rangel and Maxine Waters have both said they would like to have their trials heard prior to the November 2 General Election.  All five (5) Republican Party's members of the Ethics Committee have asked for the Ethics Committee to proceed with the trials.  This leaves the five (5) Democrat Party members, including Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren to delay or press forward with the House Ethics Committee trials. Republican Party's House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) joined the five (5) Republican Party members asking the Ethics Committee to have public Ethic Committee trials for Rep. Charlie Rangel and Rep.Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) immediately, and before the November General Elections.

Rep. Charlie Rangel is facing 13 charges of House ethics rules. Rep. Charlie Rangel is charged with his failure to report vacation rental property in the Dominican Republic and his failure to pay Federal Income Tax on that property from year1998 through year 2006.  Rep. Charlie Rangel is charged with accepting rented property for his campaign office in Manhattan.  Additionally, Rep.Rangel is charged with his failure to report more than $600,000 in assets on his Congressional Financial Disclosure.

Rep. Waters has called for her trial "to be held before the election, saying that any delay 'violates the fundamental principles of due process, denies my constituents the opportunity to evaluate this case and harms my ability to defend my integrity.'"

Rep. Waters is charged with intervening on behalf of a bank where her husband served on the board and he owned some $500,000.00 of stock in that bank.

All GOP Ethics Committee members are saying Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren is stalling to put the trials off until after the General Election for partisan political reasons.

Where is Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi?  Is this delay of injustice a "stalling" by Speaker Pelosi and House Ethics Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren before the General Election so as to hide even more corruption within the Capitol Hill Democrat Party?

America needs to decisively distinguish whether Reps. Charlie Rangel and/or Maxine Waters are "guilty" or "not guilty" prior to the General Election. For the American electorate, as William E. Gladstone once said, "Justice Delayed is Justice Denied."

Typhoid Barry

There's a fascinating phenomenon in medicine of a "carrier" of a disease. The most famous example is Typhoid Mary.

Mary was a cook in the early 20th century who spread typhoid to over fifty people, although she never contracted the infection herself. There are carriers of a variety of illnesses. For instance, a person can test positive for TB without having suffered from the disease.

Typhoid Mary is, I think, an apt metaphor for not just carriers of physical disease, but of psychological mayhem. I'm referring to people who wreak havoc without so much as lifting a finger.

The most extreme example is Charles Manson. Manson rots in prison for life, charged with crimes he did not personally commit. Hypnotically, he compelled his young charges to mutilate and massacre.

Jim Jones, the messianic San Francisco preacher and fan of Marx and Hitler, is another example. At People's Temple in Guyana, Jones managed to convince over nine hundred people to commit suicide by drinking cyanide-spiked Kool Aid -- even to feed it to their children.

Psychological carriers are on a continuum from the most deranged, like Manson and Jones, on down the totem pole. I regard those Columbia University luminaries, Richard Cloward and Frances Fox-Piven, as Typhoid Elitists.

From tony ivory towers, they concocted their theories about overwhelming and crashing the system. While the duo kept out of the fray, they aggravated and agitated urban black youths to riot.

Their manipulation of ghetto kids so outraged a then-young black reporter, Juan Williams, that he wrote an angry treatise for the Washington Post, "If Liberals Need Riots, Let Whites Do It." But that didn't stop Cloward and Piven from continuing to exploit blacks as foot soldiers in their quest for revolution.

Regarding the enigmatic Obama, there are many theories percolating to understand his modus operandi. Maybe he's a warrior righting the colonialist wrongs of his father. Or perhaps he's a fiery radical à la Bill Ayers, raging against the system. Some people conjecture that Obama is a closet Muslim, trying to unleash sharia law on the United States.
While Obama appears to sympathize with all of the above, he doesn't embody the warrior spirit. A freedom-fighter has fire in his belly; he burns with an inner combustion, even though his cause may be twisted.

Bill Ayers, for instance, got down and dirty by bombing the New York City Police Department, the Capitol, and the Pentagon. Van Jones served time in jail during the Rodney King riots.

But Obama the warrior? I don't see it. He's a poser and a posturer, a blank screen on which others project their fantasies. Obama does not embrace his father's dreams, nor does he have many of his own.

He's just Barry, an orphan with no country, the perennial outsider. A loner who prefers his own company or the anonymity of crowds. In clinical terms, he may be a “secret schizoid” – outwardly engaged but, in actuality, uneasy around people.

Obama comforts himself with pleasures – parties, golf, vacations. He's easily tempted by the allure of wealth and power. Through his affiliation with the slumlord, Tony Rezko, he and Michelle acquired a mansion.

Where was Obama's righteous indignation when black tenants endured rat-infested, unheated apartments? Where was Obama's towering passion when he cavalierly eliminated the D.C. school voucher program? As for his father, if Obama is ablaze with Barack Sr.'s spirit, why did Junior skip the man's funeral, and why did he allow Dad's family to live in squalor?

Obama is no warrior. He's the middleman, the closer. This country has had a date with destiny since the radical Left began spreading its poison decades ago. Obama is simply the empty suit brought in to close the deal.

Obama doesn't have the fire, or the cajones, as Palin memorably phrased it, to be a revolutionary. He likes his arugula and his fine wine. He will not get his manicured fingers dirty.

Like Cloward and Piven, he's another version of the carrier syndrome, a sort of Typhoid Barry. He gestures with his middle finger about Hillary and whips the crowd into a frenzy. Or he cajoles people to hit back hard, and maniacs beat up conservatives.

Obama sneers that Cambridge cops practice racism, and voilà, attacks against police burgeon. He demonizes the banks, and AIG employees receive death threats.

Obama doesn't lose his cool. Aside from the occasional passive-aggressive comment (for instance, saying snidely that Rush Limbaugh can play with himself), he's composed. Obama knows his role well. It was conceived and crafted before he was even born.

Unlike Mary, Obama is a carrier not of typhoid, but of something much worse – the sickness of hatred. He mesmerizes the masses with his magnetic charm. He casts a hypnotic spell over the desperate and forlorn.

They become the warriors. With the snap of the hypnotist's finger, they'll do the dirty work for him.

Obama on Iran

The Iranian Hitler

Ahmadinejad's suggestion that elements in the U.S. government may have aided or planned the 9/11 attacks to "save the Zionist regime" is deeply offensive to the loved ones of those who died and to all Americans.

President Obama should keep all options on the table should sanctions fail. Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear arms. We should learn from history. When a maniac like Ahmadinejad says things as preposterous as they may sound to us it is very similar to the rhetoric Alolph Hitler ranted before the second world war. Because the world did not pay attention to that monster he caused millions of deaths and enormous destruction. This Iranian lunatic should be taken seriously to prevent history from repeating itself.
