Brett Brophy was recognized as an outstanding artist at an early age. His talent was first noticed by his first grade teacher. At the young age of 11, his art was featured in the Gallery Walk in Denver, Colorado. At the end of 7th grade, Brett won Top Honor in Art in his middle school. It was the first time a 7th grader was given the honor. At 13, Brett is one of the select few artists that have been invited to share their art with a museum curator at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA).

The Cave Creek Film and Arts Festival are proud to be one of the only festivals that recognize youth artists across the state. The festival events are open to the public and are free to attend. Brett’s work along with all the other youth visual arts semi-finalists will be on display Sunday, July 11 from 6:30-7 p.m. at Cactus Shadows Fine Art Center. The Film Showcase will directly follow from 7-9 p.m. For more information or to view a schedule of events, please visit www.cavecreekfilmandartsfestival.com.
