Local Arizona senior couple finds need and solution

Surgery leads to new business

Shortly after leaving the hospital this past December after spinal fusion surgery, local resident, Richard “Pepper” Fisher, 66, went for a walk with his newly prescribed neck brace. Not being able to turn his head, he felt shut off from the world around him. He could only see what was directly in front of him. Cars, people and even prowling coyotes eluded his visual field. He thought there had to be a better way. And he found it!

Fisher recalled seeing cyclist wearing mirrors attached to their helmets and thought … what if I could find a mirror that attached to my glasses instead? After extensive research and testing, he found what he considered the best product on the market. His close friend, Susan Pachter, was so impressed with the product’s new application and market potential, she not only encouraged Fisher to share his discovery, but she created the business to market it, and made an exclusive agreement with the manufacturer to market through the medical community.
