FALCON FIELD – The baseball gods did not smile on the Falcons last week. First, near the end of Wednesday’s practice, starting catcher and reliable hitter Connor Sabanosh suffered a freakish, potentially-serious injury that knocked him out of the Playoffs. CF “Other Falcons” beat CSHS, win state

(Tucson) Catalina Foothills, a/k/a “The Other Falcons,” beat the Tennis Falcons, 5-0, in State (Team) Semifinals at Paseo Racquet Center, Friday, May 7, then went on the next day to win their fifth straight State Championship by downing Prescott.  “We played really, really well,” Coach Bob Dice told Sonoran News. “I believe we gave them their toughest match of the season.” Don’t forget that his Tennis Guys were undefeated Desert Sky champs.
