SCOTTSDALE – Whether your golf swing is graceful or dreadful, you can contribute like a pro through the Give Through Golf virtual golf ball drop, an exciting new way to support the kids in the Desert Foothills of Carefree, Cave Creek, Northeast Phoenix and North Scottsdale.

Purchasing a virtual golf ball gives you a chance to win $1000 if the golf ball you purchase lands nearest the hole when all the balls purchased are dropped from a virtual helicopter on May 17. But more importantly, you make a valuable contribution to the kids in our area. The Partners in Education program has raised nearly $2 million to support our local students over the past 20 years. Partners in Education provides grants for before and after school Kid’s Clubs, the Artists in Residency program, and Save One Student (SOS) scholarships that enable our neediest students to attend preschool and K-12 enrichment classes.

All on-line entries must be in by 5 p.m. May 15. Ball purchases can also be made by check sent to Chip In for the Kids-FCF, 34250 N. 60th Street, Bldg. B Scottsdale, AZ 85266 by May 12. For assistance or questions e-mail [email protected].

You can also contribute by playing in the Eighth Annual Partners for Kids Spring Charity Golf Event, which takes place on Monday, May 17, 11 a.m. at The Golf Club Scottsdale, ranked one of Arizona’s top-ten courses. The Golf Club Scottsdale is unencumbered by homes as it winds its way through saguaro forests. The beautiful clubhouse is a great venue for the after tournament celebration. Visit www.azfcf.org/golf_event.html for additional information about this tournament and elegant after-golf party.
