CAREFREE – Don’t miss this rare opportunity to play at the private Desert Forest Golf Club in Carefree on Monday, May 3 at The Desert Foothills Library’s 21st annual golf tournament.

Named best private course by Desert Golfer magazine, Desert Forest Golf Club is only open to the public for two tournaments each year. The course was also named a top 100 course by Golf Digest, Golf Week and Golf Magazine and is known for its native desert vegetation and challenging terrain.

The benefit tournament will tee off with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

The cost of the tournament is $185 per person. Teams will play in a four-person scramble on the 18-hole course. Players can participate in a silent auction and raffle, and will also receive a continental breakfast and buffet lunch at the private club.

For more tournament information and to RSVP call 480-221-0038 or 480-595-5580, or download the entry form at www.DesertFoothillsLibrary.org.

The Desert Foothills Library’s annual tournament has the special distinction of having two hole-in-one winners last year, said organizer Judy Bailey. “We invite the community to come out, have fun, enjoy this beautiful course and support our library.”
