‘Not All Monsters Are Scary’ children's Halloween show

October 21, 2009

CAVE CREEK – "Not All Monsters Are Scary" is an original mini musical and features 10 kids aged 7 thru high school. The group is raising money for the Desert Foothills Theatre.

The show runs on Saturday, Oct. 31, is 45 minutes long and will be done as a lunch theatre. Held at the Silver Spur Saloon, 6245 E. Cave Creek Rd., it includes the lunch for kids consisting of a hot dog, chips and juice.

The tickets for the show will be $5 per person. The first show is at 11 a.m. and will be repeated at 12:15 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

The show is about a little girl named Kelly who is afraid of monsters. After her mother puts her to bed, some monsters come into Kelly's room. Whenever her mother comes into the room the monsters disappear so her mother thinks it's all in her imagination. During the show the monsters, through song and dance, finally convince Kelly that even though they look different on the outside, on the inside they are the same and Kelly is no longer afraid of them.

CAVE CREEK – This Halloween, the town of Cave Creek gets “wicked” crazy with its first annual holiday event. The town will also be adorned in festive decorations and individual holiday family activities will be available including: haunted houses, children and pet costume parades, horse costume contest, pumpkin carving, mummy wrapping contest, psychic readings, Thriller street dances and more!

One of the more anticipated events will feature many local dignitaries setting themselves up for a dip in the water! The Dunk Tank will be held at Valerie’s furniture, hosted by Cactus Shadows High School Booster Club. So get in line and take a swing at those listed below.
