Truck fire stops traffic in Cave Creek

CAVE CREEK – Traffic was backed up on Cave Creek Road on the west side of Black Mountain for more than an hour early Monday afternoon when Rural/Metro was called in to put out a fire in the back of a truck carrying roofing materials. Fire trucks from Rural/Metro stations in both Cave Creek and Carefree responded to extinguish the fire, which caused little damage, but led to a traffic nightmare. Rural/Metro had a busy day on Monday as they also responded to a house fire on Old Paint Trail in Carefree.
