taste of ccCAVE CREEK – Planning is underway for what is sure to be a fabulous Taste of Cave Creek event this fall.

Cave Creek bars and restaurants will join together to offer the community their best at the annual Taste of Cave Creek event. This year’s fall event, which is normally held in the spring, has a sponsor in addition to the Cave Creek Merchants Chamber of Commerce – the Town of Cave Creek.

The Taste of Cave Creek will be held at the Stagecoach Village business center at the northwest corner of Cave Creek Road and Galloway Drive on Thursday, Sept. 25. Sixteen Cave Creek restaurants will be serving what they are best known for beginning at 6 p.m.

There will also be great musical entertainment at the event. Popular country band Rondavous will be entertaining from 6 to 8 p.m. and local rock favorite EastonAshe will take the stage from 8 to 10 p.m.

This year’s Taste is expected to be bigger and better because it is being held in conjunction with the 2008 Governor’s Rural Development Conference, which will be held at the Carefree Resort & Villas that week.

“It will be a lot of fun,” said Cave Creek Town Manager Usama Abujbarah, who has worked hard on organizing the event. “It will be a unique opportunity for local residents to taste the best foods from all Cave Creek restaurants.”

CCMCC president Marc Peagler said the Taste is Cave Creek’s “night to shine.”

He expects the local eateries to benefit from this year’s Taste because of its ties to the economic development conference.

“The majority of the conference attendees live in the Phoenix metro area,” he said.
Adult tickets to the Taste of Cave Creek are $25. Tickets for children between 7 and 13 are $10. Children age 6 and under are free.
