Cave Creek local to hold fund raiser for Breast Cancer 3-day

CAVE CREEK – Sandra Nickler of Cave Creek will be holding a fundraiser at Brix Wine Spot on Sunday, Nov. 2 to raise money for the Breast Cancer 3-Day. Nickler is joining thousands of other dedicated women and men for the Phoenix Breast Cancer 3-Day, a three-day, 60-mile walk benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust. In order to participate, each walker must train for the event and commit to raising a minimum of $2,200.

“Many walkers raise more than the minimum. In fact, event organizers report the average amount raised is $2,900,” said Nickler “With this fundraiser, I hope to exceed my fundraising goal. I know with Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust as beneficiaries, I’m helping to ensure funding is available for important research and community outreach programs.”

Brix Wine Spot, located in Stagecoach Village, has graciously offered to host the wine tasting which will be held from 2 – 5 p.m. The cost of the wine tasting is $15 per person and includes light foods. $5 per each person will go to Sandra’s fundraising efforts. There will be raffle tickets available for purchase at $1 each for some great raffle drawings. There will also be a silent auction. Each paid wine tasting guest will receive a ticket for door prizes. Brix is “where wine meets the west,” so don’t forget your cowboy–girl hat!
